Sugars by Sharon

My personal conviction is that beauty ministers to our souls in such a way that we don't realize how much we need it or lack it in our day to day lives until we experience it. Sharing afternoon tea is to share the gift of beauty and repose with those we love.

Always on the look-out for yet one more beautiful element to add to my tea celebrations, I stumbled across these sugars. Molding them myself enabled me to color and coordinate them with china, linens, candles, and fresh flowers. My sugar was now, not only functional, but beautiful. Needless to say, the reaction was electric and proved to be the seed that would eventually birth Sugars by Sharon.

Taking pictures of these sugars to show others, turned into requests for a few samples to share with their friends, family, and work associates. This evolved into, "You know these would make a great gift item," with me stacking sugar into hand-made boxes to give as gifts. Regardless of what I might give my friends, the sugar always brought the biggest smiles and greatest excitement. They would use and share them with others - sparingly, for special occasions so as to lengthen the time they could enjoy their limited supply. Lastly, voices urged me to market and sell them - then they could have as much as they wanted, when they wanted it, to use how often they wanted. And so began the business side of Sugars by Sharon.
